Chatting
Memory across chats
Off by default: Settings > Memory turns it on. Then GlirOS remembers a few facts and preferences across chats, only ones you ask it to keep ("remember that I'm vegetarian", "husk at jeg bor i Bergen") or approve when it suggests one under an answer (Remember, Not now, Don't suggest).
"What do you remember about me?" lists them, "forget that …" removes one, and Settings > Memory shows everything, to edit, delete, add or forget all, and to paste your memory list from ChatGPT (or what Claude or Gemini says it remembers about you). It stays on this device, goes with your messages to the model you use (a cloud model is named the first time), and is never used in an incognito chat or by the GlirOS Helper.
Besides this memory across all chats, a project and a chat each have their own instructions and memory, always on (the ⋯ menu of the project or the chat; see Projects). In a project, "remember that …" keeps it for the project; outside one, here when this memory is on, otherwise for that chat only.
This guide is the same text GlirOS itself uses to answer questions about GlirOS.
