Selling a tool
GlirOS is free, but you can sell a tool you made, with your own PayPal.
GlirOS itself is free and stays free. If you have made a tool that is worth paying for, you can sell it yourself: you are the seller, you use your own PayPal, and GlirOS only lists the tool and checks your licence in the app. GlirOS takes no payment and no cut, and never tells you who a GlirOS user is.
How it works
- You run a small licence server on your own hosting. GlirOS provides a free kit for it, which works with your own PayPal account: monthly subscriptions, trials, cancel at any time, receipts and e-mails, all automatic.
- When someone buys, your server gives them a licence key. They enter it in GlirOS once.
- The app trades the key with your server for a short licence, signed with your key, and checks it on the device. It works offline for up to 7 days, then refreshes.
What we check before listing a paid tool
- Who you are: your name or company, organisation number (or "private individual"), address and a contact e-mail.
- The price including VAT, and that cancelling is as easy as buying.
- Your rules for trials, refunds and the right of withdrawal (the kit's default: a full refund within 14 days the first time someone subscribes, and a refund for the unused days after that).
- Working links to your terms and your privacy policy.
- No non-commercial models or add-ons in a paid tool (face swap, CodeFormer, face age, or anything else licensed for non-commercial use only).
- The tool passes the normal tool review.
Be honest with your buyers
A licence check inside a tool that runs on the buyer's device can be bypassed by someone determined. It keeps honest users honest. If part of your tool must be protected, keep that part on your own server.
Want to start? Write to support with a short description of your tool, and we'll send you the kit and the licence format.
